Being a Care Worker
Offering sensitive support to those who need it the most.
You’ll offer highly-personalised, sensitive care and support to people in their own homes, including
in extra care schemes. Practically, you’ll support:
Helping with bathing, toileting and continence care.
Administering and prompting self-administration.
To meet customers’ nutrition and hydration needs.
Helping with light housework and laundry.
Supporting community access and participation in social activities.

to ensure you’re highly skilled for your role. As well as completing Skills for Care’s Care Certificate
and regular refresher training to keep your knowledge current, you can enrol for recognised Health
